Aerial photography fulfilled the perspective that I was needing. Not sure why I didn’t recognize it at first, but the floodgates opened in the first moments of flying. My work is heavily influenced by my Master of Urban Planning degree, looking for the legacy of planning decisions and a place’s own history. Aerial photography gave me the plan view of the world that I am trying to understand.
